"March being Art IS Education Month, OSA is the perfect place to hold our event celebrating civil rights and the students who submitted artwork for our art competition," said AC Transit Director and Project Co-Chair Joel Young.
The Project is officially launching this week, on the 55th Anniversary of Rosa Parks' historic December 1 ride, at Peralta Elementary, a school with a legacy of integrating arts education into the curriculum. The guidelines for the art competition will be available online shortly thereafter.
The art competition/call for entries is open to all K-12 students residing or attending school in Alameda County and those residing or attending school in any West Contra Costa city serviced by AC Transit.
